Safari summary
Tsavo East and West forms the largest ecosystem in Kenya and home to red elephants, for the first time visitors’ one can never be disappointed; this safari will give you a life time opportunity to see as many animals as possible.
DAY 1: Mombasa-Tsavo East National Park
Depart at 06:00 from Mombasa, Diani or Malindi and drive off towards Tsavo East National Park, arrive at Bachuma gate at around 10:00, which is one of the entrances to Tsavo East National Park. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya; with a park size of 13,747 sq. Km. you will start your game drive or commonly referred to as Safari immediately, seeing amongst others the huge herds of Elephants, Cape Buffalos, Giraffes, Zebras, and as well as smaller animals such as lesser Kudu, Hartebeest, and Bush-baby, and various species of birds until lunch time, where you will have your lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. After lunch you will have a short siesta before proceeding with your afternoon game drive, searching for waterbucks, Lesser Kudus, warthogs, impalas and may others. You will return to Ashnil Aruba Lodge by 17:00 where you will have your dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: Tsavo East National Park -Tsavo West National Park
Early morning game drive ,Tsavo East is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile. You will also have a chance to see a kill if lucky. You will return to the Lodge for your Breakfast before checking out and departing to Tsavo west national park. The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing and rolling , along with the 300 kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. You will arrive in Tsavo west in time for lunch where you will have a sumptuous lunch at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge followed by an afternoon visit to the Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Tsavo west National Park – Mombasa
Early Morning game drive in Tsavo West National Park will give one a chance to see some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include; elephants, rhinos, Hippos, lions, and different bird species including the threatened corncrake and Basra Reed Warbler. You will return to the lodge for a full breakfast and check out, continue with your mid-morning game drive in the crystal clear waters gushing out of the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs ,and famously known as a Jacuzzi for hippos and crocodiles . You will then have a game drive en route, as you exit the park and proceed for lunch at Lion Hill Lodge. You will drive back to Mombasa arriving late in the evening and transferred to your booked hotel.
