Safari summary

Tsavo East is the largest protected area in Kenya, it is considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds, and its popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife that can be seen, including the famous “big five ” consisting of lion ,black rhino, cape buffalo, elephant and leopard, While Tsavo west commonly referred to as the” land of lava, springs and magical sunsets “, offers some of the most magnificent game viewing and attractions in the world including the Mzima Springs where millions of gallons of crystal clear water gushes out from the under parched lava rock and Shetani lava flows, which is the remains of volcanic eruptions .The 8km black lava flow is composed of uneven chunks of solid magma, and
Amboseli National Park is known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world and the Tallest in Africa. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Masai word meaning “salty dust” .

Itinerary

Mombasa/Diani/Malindi-Tsavo East

Pick up at 7am and drive to Tsavo East, arriving at around 11am. You will start your first safari immediately until 1pm, you will then check inn at Ashnil Aruba lodge, have lunch followed by a short siesta. You will then have a late afternoon game drive between 4pm – 6pm, with an opportunity of seeing the red jumbo elephants, buffalo’s, warthogs, ostriches, impalas and giraffes. You will then return to Ashnil Aruba Lodge for your Dinner and overnight.

Tsavo East-Amboseli

Early morning game drive from 6:30am – 8:30am, then breakfast & check out. Depart to Amboseli National Park with a game drive en route , arriving at Amboseli in time for lunch , After lunch you will check inn at Sentrim Camp , before embarking on your late afternoon game drive between 4pm-6pm , with an opportunity to see the big five :Elephant ,Rhino ,Leopard ,Buffalo & Lion and weather permitting a chance to see the majestic mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp.

Amboseli-Tsavo West

Early morning game drive between 6:30am-8:30am, then return to the camp for breakfast and check out. Depart to Tsavo west with a game drive en route arriving at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in time for Lunch. After lunch you will check inn at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge and have a short siesta before embarking on your afternoon game drive between 4pm-6pm. You will then drive back to Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tsavo west-Mombasa/Diani/Malindi

Early morning game drive between 6:30am -8:30am, then breakfast and checkout. You will drive to Mzima springs where you will have a chance to see hippos and crocodiles amongst other animals. You will have your lunch at lion hills lodge, before driving back to Mombasa/Diani or Malindi.

  • Prices are based on per person sharing. Prices for solo traveller or groups can be requested.
  • Children between 12 to 18 years: 75% of adult price
  • Children between 3 to 11: 50% sharing with parents
