Safari summary
A perfect round trip safari with Tsavo east and Tsavo west combined and enough time at Amboseli national park. The 5 days safari is commonly referred to as Jambo Kenya, Jambo is a formal greeting that is accepted across board meaning” hallo”. The Safari highlights include the open flat Savannah grasslands of Tsavo East where you have a chance to see some of the biggest mammals on planet like the red jumbo elephants and the aggressive lone buffaloes. Then in Amboseli National Park one will have a chance to see the Legendary Mount Kilimanjaro the Tallest Mountain in Africa and the tallest free standing Mountain in the world, with a 2 nights at Amboseli one is assured of seeing if not the big 5 then the big 4.
Finally with the last night at Tsavo west one will see the wonders of nature the “Shetani Lava’s” and” Mzima Springs” .
Itinerary
Mombasa/Diani/Malindi-Tsavo East
Pick up at 07am and drive to Tsavo East. Arrive at around 11am and start immediately the safari. Check inn and lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Afternoon game drive 4pm-6pm. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Animals expected to be seen are the famous “big five “consisting of lion, black rhino, cape buffalo, elephant and leopard. Tsavo East is also home to other mammals such as, water bucks, lesser kudu and crocodile. Dinner and Overnight at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
Tsavo East-Amboseli
Early morning game drive 06:30-08:30, breakfast then check out and depart to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch check inn at Amboseli Sentrim Camp. You will have a short siesta before embarking on your afternoon game drive between 4pm-6pm. Dinner and Overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp. Amboseli National Park is known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world and the Tallest in Africa. Dinner and Overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp.
Full Day Amboseli National Park
Early Morning game drive between 06:30-08:30 then Breakfast, After breakfast mid-morning game drive then lunch, After lunch, you will finally do the late afternoon game drive between 4pm-6pm. Amboseli National Park offers some of the best opportunities to see African bush elephant, Cape buffalo, impala, lion cheetah, spotted hyena, Masai giraffe, and zebra with prolific bird life of over 600 different species. Dinner and Overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp.
Amboseli-Tsavo West
Early Morning Game drive 06:30-08:30 then breakfast. You will then check out and depart to Tsavo west, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will check in at Kilaguni Serena Safari lodge, have a short siesta before embarking on your 4pm-6pm game drive. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari lodge. Tsavo west offers some of the most magnificent game viewing and attractions in the world including the big five: elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo.
Tsavo west-Mombasa/Diani/Malindi
Early Morning game drive 06:30-08:30, then breakfast and check out. Last game drive will take you to the Mzima Springs where millions of gallons of crystal clear water gushes out from the under parched lava rock. Mzima springs are commonly referred to as a natural Jacuzzi for Hippos and Crocodiles. You will enjoy the sceneries at Mzima Springs as you are having your packed lunch boxes, before exiting the park and departing back to Mombasa, Diani or Malindi.
